Ana Galan
Ana Galán, a Spain native, discovered her passion for quilting through a friend who cherished a quilt lovingly made by his mother during his travels. Witnessing the care and dedication that went into that quilt, Ana felt inspired to create her own quilts to share with her children. She thrives on pushing the boundaries of traditional quilting to design unique patterns like the quilted shawls.
Ana’s artistic journey also led to the exhibition of her art quilt, The Quilter’s Hands, at the Great Wisconsin Quilt Show in October 2022. Her shawl pattern, “Sedona Desert”, was featured in the American Quilter September 2023 magazine. With 21 shawl patterns published, Ana organizes shawl sew-alongs and retreats in the USA, attracting participants from around the world, including Australia, Canada, and the UK.
In addition to her quilting endeavors, Ana is a prolific children’s book author with over 80 published works.
