There is something powerful that happens when makers gather around sewing machines. Shoulders drop. Laughter rises. Stories are shared. Creativity, once buried under responsibilities and routines, comes back to life.

At Flying Geese Retreat, we’ve watched it happen again and again—the transformation that unfolds when someone is given uninterrupted time to create and be cared for. But we also know that not everyone who longs for that space can always say yes.

That’s why we created the Open Wings Fund.

Inspired by the way geese fly in formation—lifting one another and sharing the load—the Open Wings Fund exists to help more makers join our flock. Through a portion of merch and fabric proceeds as well as the generosity of our community, we will offer scholarships to those who need a little extra lift to attend.

Because creativity restores more than quilts.
It restores confidence. Friendship. Joy.

And when one of us rises, we all rise.
